Newborn puppies are very small and weak. They cannot eat solid food. They only drink their mother’s milk to grow and stay healthy.

Newborn puppies drink milk many times every day. They usually feed every 2 to 3 hours. After drinking milk, they sleep most of the time. Healthy puppies are quiet and have full, round bellies.
If puppies are hungry, they may cry and move around. This means they need more milk.
Mother’s milk is the best food for puppies. Cow’s milk is not good for them because it can cause stomach problems. If the mother cannot feed them, people can use special puppy milk formula.
Newborn puppies also need warmth and care. They cannot control their body temperature, so they must stay warm.
Taking care of newborn puppies is very important. With enough milk, warmth, and love, they will grow into strong and healthy dogs.
